Cheap,Convenient and Cosy Enjoyed my One night stay as it was cheap, convenient and comfortable. I arrived prepared after hearing and reading reviews and it was a great place to rest,relax and recharge the batteries while watching TV. Beautiful and Awesome Place Last minute booking and resulted in the best choice I made. Quality place with staff hospitality. Great value for money I picked this hotel because it was an ideal location for me and I was able to walk to where I needed to be each day, so I didn't need a rental car for 4 days! The rooms were warm, beds were very comfortable and the room was clean and tidy -definitely value for money and provided the basics. They can only fit so much into a room and provide the basics for what you're paying per night. The bar itself was great, loyal locals, typical pub food, and nice warm fire. I spent a few hours based in here doing my work and it was just fine. If you want all the bells and whistles, go somewhere else and pay more. Reviewers that knock these sort of places need to realistic about what to expect, or go and pay more and stay somewhere else.

A great experience and I would not hesitate to recommend you Motel to anyone and your prices were reasonable. I found all staff friendly and helpful from bar staff right through to the domestic staff. The facilities were basic but comfortable. Recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Dunedin the room was very clean and comfortable ,the only thing that was missing milk in the fridge,and a container for rubbish.but we had a great night in the bar and a lovely meal all at very reasonable prices. A very successful stay and we will stay at the Hotel again. We both enjoyed our stay at the Ocean Beach Hotel. The food in the bar was very good The environment was very comfortable and friendly Our room was very good and the bed was very comfortable. I would suggest two improvements: (1) The toilet cistern needs to have a hush kit fitted (2) The TV was very difficult to use

Weekend away. Wonderful hosts and very helpful when we arrived and needed to check in early, room was comfortable just needed another chair so we could both sit down without sitting on the bed. The room was clean tidy and the added bonus of a heat pump was awesome.

Great location, excellent experience in a nice clean room I would happily recommend to anyone who wants a cheap, clean, stress-free experience, my expectations were fairly low but were pleasantly and greatly exceeded I loved that I could park right outside my room and keep an eye on my classic car ($$$) The room was comfortable, it got a bit cold at night because I like to sleep without a heater, but plenty of extra blankets could be found in the cupboard My room had plenty of things to make my stay better, like a TV, small fridge/freezer, coffee/tea, jug & toaster, I guess fairly standard, but appreciated nonetheless There was no kitchen sink and the jug had to be filled from the shower, but that little quirk didn't bother me at all I had some leftovers from a meal at a restaurant, I visited reception and asked if I could get it heated up I was led to a microwave in their kitchen and they happily allowed me to use it, which I thought was really cool and it's these kinds of things that make customers happy and want to come back. Great location and price. Great budget accommodation, very handy to Larnachs Castle and city centre, etc. comfortable beds. Kept warm with the heat pump and staff and owner were friendly. Highly recommended Good location, very friendly and efficient service, comfortable bed, plenty of parking, very good shower. Bar with nice atmosphere and good food.
